Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, the gained 0.88% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the were Al Moammar Information Systems Co CJSC (TADAWUL:), which rose 10.00% or 8.80 points to trade at 96.80 at the close. Meanwhile, ALABDULLATIF CO. (TADAWUL:) added 9.99% or 1.78 points to end at 19.60 and Almunajem Foods Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) was up 9.56% or 6.10 points to 69.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were United Cooperative Assurance Co (TADAWUL:), which fell 9.96% or 2.18 points to trade at 19.70 at the close. Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:) declined 9.94% or 1.76 points to end at 15.94 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (TADAWUL:) was down 7.89% or 1.08 points to 12.60.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 131 to 96 and 12 ended unchanged.

Shares in United Cooperative Assurance Co (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; down 9.96% or 2.18 to 19.70. Shares in Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.94% or 1.76 to 15.94. Shares in Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (TADAWUL:) fell to 52-week lows; losing 7.89% or 1.08 to 12.60.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.82% or 1.83 to $98.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.68% or 1.80 to hit $105.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 4.05 to trade at $1,706.65 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.04% to 3.84, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.08% to 3.76.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 106.65.
